We are looking for a dedicated Sports Teaching Assistant to join our team in Eastleigh, Hampshire, starting in ASAP or September 2025. Our SEMH schools provide a nurturing and supportive environment where students can thrive both academically and personally.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Sports Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles among our students. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting students with SEMH needs in physical education activities.
Encouraging and motivating students to participate in sports and physical activities.
Supervising and ensuring the safety of students during sports sessions.
Helping to organise and manage school sports events and competitions.
Providing one-on-one or small group support to students as needed.
Collaborating with other staff members to create an inclusive and positive learning environment.Qualifications and Experience:
The ideal candidate will have:
A passion for sports and physical education.
Experience working with children or young people, preferably in an educational setting.
Understanding of SEMH needs and strategies to support students effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A positive, patient, and empathetic approach.
