As part of their ongoing growth, they are seeking to recruit a Senior Structural Engineer to join their dynamic and expanding team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work across a wide variety of projects, focusing on both hands-on design and structural reporting. The successful candidate will work primarily within the residential and commercial sectors, contributing to the delivery of high-quality, client-focused solutions. This position is ideal for engineers who have a well-rounded background in structural engineering, encompassing structural reporting, surveys, investigations, and detailed design. Key Responsibilities Undertake structural design across various residential and commercial projects, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. Conduct structural surveys, inspections, and investigations to assess the integrity and condition of buildings and structures. Prepare detailed structural reports, including recommendations for repairs, improvements, or remedial work. Work collaboratively with other team members and disciplines to deliver coordinated and efficient engineering solutions. Provide technical expertise and support throughout all project stages, from concept through to completion. Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives and timelines are met. The Ideal Candidate A degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of post-graduate experience in a similar role. Chartered status or working towards chartership with a relevant institution (e.g., ICE or IStructE). Strong experience in structural reporting, including surveys, condition assessments, and investigative work. Proficiency in structural design software and tools, with a good understanding of AutoCAD, Tekla, and similar programs. Excellent communication skills and the ability to confidently liaise with clients and project teams. A proactive, problem-solving approach and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
