Job Description:
Autism Specialism & Complex Needs
Are you interested in supporting children with Special Needs?
Would you like to build your experience working with Complex Learning Disabilities?
A specialist school in Oxford for students with Autism is looking for a Psychology (or similar degree) Graduate to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant supporting children with complex Autism and Learning Disabilities. Candidates with relevant experience will also be considered. The SEN School caters to children aged 4 to 18 and requires consistent, ongoing support to ensure they receive the highest quality of care and child-centered support. Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential. Graduates in related fields such as Psychology or Criminology will also be considered.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for Psychology Graduates to work alongside therapists and psychologists on-site. You will be mentored, shadow sessions, and gain invaluable experience working with Special Needs and Mental Health issues. It is ideal for aspiring educational or occupational psychologists, therapeutic support workers, or SEN teachers.
The school seeks a SEN Teaching Assistant who can bring enthusiasm, passion, and experience to the classroom. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and able to use their initiative. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring teachers, educational/occupational/clinical psychologists, or therapists.
