We’re looking for a Deputy Manager to join the award-winning Crown Wharf, Stone, recently crowned Great British Pub of the Year! You’ll bring energy, leadership, and a genuine passion for beer and people. What You’ll Be Doing: Delivering excellent service: Oversee smooth daily operations, maintaining consistently high standards of food, drink, and hospitality. Championing our beer: Celebrate and share the Joule’s story, from our cask ales to our cold beers, ensuring every pour reflects our heritage and passion. Leading by example: Set the pace and tone on shift, motivating your team and fostering a positive, collaborative working environment. Creating memorable experiences: Engage with guests to make every visit special, turning great service into lasting relationships. M aintaining brand standards: Keep the pub looking and feeling its best, from cellar to bar to front of house. Opening & closing responsibilities: Act as a keyholder and ensure secure, efficient site operations. Supporting team development: Assist the General Manager in training, coaching, and developing your team to reach their full potential. Driving trade and creativity: Work closely with the General Manager and the Joule’s Marketing Team to develop fresh ideas for events, promotions, and the Rhythm of the Week. Help shape engaging activities and community-led events that bring people together and drive footfall. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in a hospitality management role within a fast-paced environment. A natural leader who inspires confidence and teamwork. Able to makes smart, confident decisions and stays calm under pressure. Brings a positive, can-do attitude with a focus on solutions. Has an eye for detail and a passion for great service. Communicates clearly and effectively at all levels. Is flexible and reliable — happy to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
