We’re looking for an experienced Acoustic / Electro-Acoustic Engineer to join a technology-led engineering team developing advanced underwater sensing and acoustic systems used globally.
This is a senior, hands-on role with real influence over acoustic performance, quality, and reliability across the full product lifecycle.
What you’ll do
* Own acoustic performance and quality standards for new and existing products
* Support production and industrialisation of electro-acoustic hardware
* Lead acoustic testing, validation, and acceptance activities
* Define acoustic requirements early in the design process
* Investigate performance issues and drive continuous improvement
* Work closely with design, test, suppliers, and international teams
What we’re looking for
* Background in underwater acoustics, acoustic sensors, or electro-acoustic systems
* Strong understanding of acoustic theory, signal processing, and sensor technologies
* Confident interpreting acoustic test data and specifications
* Proven problem-solver with strong communication skills
Desirable:
Experience with quality systems, prototyping/testing, or lab software tools
Qualifications
* Degree in Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar
* Typically 5+ years’ relevant industry experience
Why join?
* Work on technically challenging products deployed worldwide
* Influence system-level acoustic performance, not just components
* Collaborative engineering environment with long-term ownership
