Job Description
* Manage and resolve customer complaints in a professional and timely manner.
* Maintain accurate records of complaints and resolutions in line with company policies.
* Collaborate with internal teams to investigate and address complaint issues effectively.
* Communicate resolutions to customers clearly and empathetically.
* Identify recurring issues and provide recommendations for service improvements.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory and organisational standards in complaint handling.
* Prepare and present reports on complaint trends and outcomes to management.
* Support the Customer Service department with additional administrative tasks as needed.
This role does offer hybrid working 3 days at home and 2 days in the office once training has been completed. Training will be completed in the Chester office for up to 3/4 weeks.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Complaints Officer should have:
* Previous experience in a complaints handling role within housing.
* Knowledge and understanding of housing sector & housing ombudsman.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
* Knowledge of the not-for-profit industry or similar sectors is an advantage.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
* Can commit to a 12 month MAT cover.
