Leading the charge to secure Britain’s energy future, and we need powerful ideas, bold leadership and resilient systems to get us there. We’re looking for a Head of Policy - LDES (Long Duration Electricity Storage) Delivery to join us and help drive forward one of Ofgem’s highest-profile policy areas, ensuring that the UK can store and deploy clean power when it’s needed most.

We’re offering a permanent opportunity in an exceptional and high-performing team working on a fast-paced, nationally significant programme. This is a unique chance to shape a new regulatory regime that will support large-scale energy storage solutions that are crucial to decarbonising the grid and delivering Clean Power by 2030.

We’re looking for someone with proven experience leading complex policy or infrastructure programmes - someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and can influence, motivate and deliver at pace. You’ll bring strategic insight, a sharp policy mind, and the ability to see across workstreams and navigate change with confidence.

This is your opportunity to lead in a space that’s moving quickly, where new technologies, regulatory models, and government ambitions intersect. Based in London, Cardiff or Glasgow, you’ll benefit from the opportunity to work openly with high-profile partners like DESNZ, NESO and a diverse range of energy stakeholders.

We have a critical purpose to deliver the Long Duration Electricity Storage programme, enabling the shift to renewable energy while protecting consumers and strengthening energy security. Join us and help ensure the lights stay on and the bills stay fair.
