Location

Agile working and Bedlington Police Station (This role supports agile working, with the flexibility to work remotely. However, the successful candidate will be required to attend the Bedlington office 3 days per fortnight, and occasionally for meetings, training, or other business needs as required.)


Hours / Contract

Permanent 37 hours per week.

What you’ll do

* Update new formats for documents, develop simple spreadsheets and input data to various computerised systems, including spreadsheets and databases, in support of the upkeep of information systems and the provision of information.
* Operate and maintain local computerised databases to contribute to the collection, collation and dissemination of information.
* Carry out a range of clerical duties in relation to administrative support thereby assisting with the effective operation of the department.
* Receive and action personal and telephone enquiries in an appropriate and courteous manner referring or redirecting to relevant staff when required to ensure complete customer satisfaction


What you’ll bring

* Demonstrable experience in an administrative position
* Excellent organisational skills
* Experience of using own initiative to highlight areas for improvement with a range of solutions.
* Able to utilise both written and verbal methods to communicate, including the use of a variety of ICT equipment and software.
* Ability to maintain the highest levels of integrity, discretion and confidentiality.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the role, you must be a resident of the UK for a minimum period of 5 years to ensure vetting checks can be successfully performed. A job offer will be dependent upon vetting clearance, medical information, and references.


Terms of appointment

This is a permanent role subject to a six-month probationary period.
