Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Grays, Essex
Salary: £ - £15 per hour

Are you on the lookout for a new opportunity as a SEND Learning Support Assistant based in the Grays area?


Well, look no further. We are looking for an experienced special needs Learning Support Assistant for various primary schools in Grays. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with and experienced working with a variety of SEN needs.

We are looking for someone who provides a happy environment for all, helping children to achieve to the best of their ability and someone who can thrive in a creative environment.

Job Duties:

1. Support: Provide 1:1 support to students with SEN in a classroom setting

2. Assist teachers: Implement individual education plans tailored to student's needs

3. Use effective approaches: Monitor and supervise students during class activities, helping them understand instructions and tasks

4. Manage behaviour: De-escalate challenging behaviour using positive reinforcement and behaviour management techniques

5. Nurture positive relationships: Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the student’s education, while maintaining detailed records of the child’s progress

6. Contribute: Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment to support the child’s integration into school life

This role will be hands-on, rewarding, and make a difference every day. If you can provide patience, empathy, and support for SEN students, you’ll be a great fit!

Requirements:

7. Right to work in the UK ✔️

8. Valid DBS check or willingness to apply for one

9. Prior experience working with students with special educational needs

10. Understanding of different learning styles with the ability to adapt teaching methods where needed

11. Patience and empathy when working with students

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
