Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join the multidisciplinary team at Bro Cerwyn, North Pembrokeshire Community Mental Health Team, Haverfordwest. This is a 0.6 WTE / 3 days a week post within the Adult Mental Health team, providing an excellent opportunity to develop and enhance your clinical skills within the OT framework. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering holistic, client‑centred care, focusing on promoting independence and maintaining functional skills. You will work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to support effective and safe discharge planning for patients.
Main duties of the job
The post offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic multi‑disciplinary team. You will have a specific interest in Adult Mental Health and demonstrate enthusiasm for the role. You will be keen to develop best practice in compliance with the Mental Health Measure Wales 2010. The post holder will develop positive relationships between all healthcare professionals, statutory and voluntary agencies, maintaining good communication across all areas. The post holder will be responsible for the assessment, planning and intervention of clients who experience cognitive loss. You will have a varied caseload to include people living with functional mental health issues. There will be opportunity to develop group work skills and deliver evidence‑based interventions such as Recovery Through Activity. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential Qualifications and Knowledge
* Degree in Occupational Therapy
* Current HCPC registration
* Knowledge of relevant current health and social care legislation applicable to role
* Knowledge and application of Microsoft Office software
* Understanding of the roles of other staff groups in health and social care
* Knowledge of a range of rehabilitation interventions across all therapies
* Understanding and application of clinical governance, including research and audit methodology
* Understanding and application of relevant outcome measures to demonstrate effectiveness
Essential Experience
* Significant post‑graduate experience of working as an Occupational Therapist across a range of settings and variety of conditions
* Managing a complex and varied caseload
* Working independently with indirect or arms‑length supervision
