Job Details:
Fife Council is seeking a proactive and skilled Technician to join our Structural Services team. The role involves supporting the management and maintenance of critical infrastructure including structures, coastal defenses, harbors, and watercourses.
You will support inspections, design work, and project support for a diverse portfolio of structural and environmental assets that protect and connect communities. The work may involve site inspections, construction supervision, working near live traffic, in bad weather, and lone working.
The Person
Desirable: Educated to SCQF level 7 (HNC in Civil Engineering or relevant subject or Advanced Highers or equivalent).
Essential: Educated to SCQF level 5 (National 5, SVQ level 2, Standard Grades at credit level, including Maths and English at level 3 or above, or equivalent).
You should have good communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess relevant IT skills. Experience in AutoCAD and knowledge of civil engineering infrastructure are beneficial.
