Long Term Cover starting 23/2/26
Location: Crewe
Contract: Long-term until July 2026, with the possibility of extension into the next academic year
Pay: £130–£160 per day, dependent on experience

New Directions are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and adaptable Primary Trained Teacher to join our KS2 team. This is a long-term position supporting a class with a higher-than-average proportion of SEND and Pupil Premium pupils. The successful candidate will have the skills, creativity, and resilience to provide high-quality teaching that meets the diverse needs of our learners.

Job Specification

Your role as a Key Stage 2 (KS2) Primary Teacher in the age group of your speciality will be varied and at times challenging. But we doubt you’ll find a more satisfying career where your main objectives will be to develop the children and prepare them for the next stage.

As a Primary School Key Stage 2 Teacher you’ll be expected to:

6. Teach all areas of the school curriculum
7. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
8. Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
9. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
10. Maintain discipline
11. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
12. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
13. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
14. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
