Practice Manager (Part-Time 28 Hours)

Ibroxholm Medical Centre is a small, friendly, family-orientated GP practice looking for an organised, motivated and approachable Practice Manager to join our team.
This is a part-time role of 28 hours per week, worked as follows:
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 09:0013:00
Tuesday, Friday: 09:0018:00
The role includes some reception cover, so you will be a visible and integral part of our day-to-day operations. We are a supportive practice that genuinely values our staff and actively promotes a healthy worklife balance.
Key responsibilities
1. Oversee the smooth running of the practice on a day-to-day basis
2. Support the GP partners in managing practice operations and service delivery
3. Ensure staff are supported to achieve their primary responsibilities and that patients receive high-quality support in their care
4. Assist with practice policies, compliance and general management tasks
5. Line manage staff where appropriate, including supporting a robust appraisal process and HR systems
6. Provide reception cover as required, contributing to a positive and efficient front-of-house service
7. Support the Partners with all aspects of practice finance, including robust financial controls (invoicing, budgeting and expenditure), high-standard bookkeeping and liaison with accountants, and accurate, timely processing of salaries, PAYE and NHS pension contributions in line with legal requirements.
About you
We are looking for someone who is:
8. Ideally experienced in healthcare or a GP practice setting (other relevant management experience will be considered)
9. Highly organised, proactive and able to prioritise effectively
10. A strong communicator, confident working with patients, clinicians and administrative staff
11. A team player with a positive, attitude and a willingness to be hands-on where needed
