Advert The post holder will Lead the efficient day-to-day operation of the dispensary services for inpatients and Outpatients of the Trust and other customers. To plan and manage the pharmacy workflow relating to the opening of the Elective Centre (Ashford) Ensure dispensed items are processed in a timely accurate manner. Work with the Lead Technician across the site to ensure the smooth management of the dispensary service and associated staff and cover in each other’s absence. Manage day-to-day dispensary activities and participate in all aspects of dispensing, ensuring workflow patterns are organised to minimise the potential for dispensing errors and that targets and turnaround times are met. Organise and prioritise work so that all prescriptions are completed on time in respect of urgency and transport/porter deadline Monitoring of internal and external errors and advise on Improvements in working practice will result in a reduction in error rates. Management of stock control in the dispensary and investigate stock errors. Support the efficient day-to-day operation of medicines optimisation services to all wards and departments served by the Pharmacy enabling the continuous supply of medication during patients’ admission, facilitating a smooth discharge Support the training of pre-reg pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and ptpt’s regarding medicines management policies in the Trust. Contribute to the development of pharmacy services and to promote the highest of standards of professional practice, whilst always observing the “statement on professional Conduct” issue by the GPhC.
