1. Provides all facets of Pulmonary Rehabilitation Services:
· Patient evaluation/assessment
· Patient Education
· Outcome documentation
1. Communicates findings to referring physicians that warrant discussion or medical follow-up.
2. Helps to develop ITP's (individualized treatment plan) with collaborative patient goals.
3. Monitors, reassesses, and modifies treatment to support patient progress.
4. Coordinates nutritional, pharmacologic, and psychology services for programs.
5. Provides interactive education and skills training sessions for patients and their families.
6. Helps to develop a home exercise program to promote long-term adherence to recommended lifestyle changes.
7. Develops Outpatient Education classes.
8. Collects and reviews patient and program outcomes.
9. Participates in Pulmonary Rehabilitation team conferences, staff meetings, and in-services.
10. Helps to schedule staff for Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
11. Orients staff to Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
12. Operates computer programs specific for department.
13. Responsible for billing process for Pulmonary Rehabilitation services.
14. Helps develop and revise procedure manual for Pulmonary Rehab.
15. Schedules outpatient testing for program evaluation.
16. Maintains current knowledge of Infection Control Procedures.
17. Orders all supplies needed for Pulmonary Rehab services.
18. Performs other work-related duties as requested/assigned.
19. Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers.
* Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
* Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
* Massachusetts state licensure in Respiratory Therapy
* Minimum one year of Pulmonary Rehab experience preferred
* Current BLS certification
