About the Role As our Clinical Lead Nurse, youll provide professional nursing leadership and clinical expertise across our homecare services, supporting individuals with spinal cord injuries and complex needs to live independently at home.
Youll lead on clinical training, supervision and quality assurance ensuring that all care delivery meets CQC, NMC, NICE, and Skills for Care standards .
Working closely with our Director of Nursing & Clinical Governance, and other members of the Clinical team, youll guide and mentor Care Managers and Care teams, validate clinical procedures, and ensure the highest standards of safety and compassion.
This role involves regular travel to conduct supervisions and clinical training in clients homes, ensuring best practice is maintained across the field.
Youll also participate in our on-call rota, which means being available to accept calls during evenings and weekends for one week (Wednesday to Wednesday) approximately every seven weeks, for which time off in lieu is offered.
Key Responsibilities Provide visible nursing leadership and clinical oversight across homecare services
Develop, review, and validate clinical procedures and competency frameworks
Deliver and assess advanced clinical skills training (e.g. tracheostomy, ventilation, enteral feeding)
Lead audits, governance reviews, and clinical quality assurance
Support safeguarding, medication governance, and infection control
Conduct clinical supervisions and training visits in clients homes
Mentor and support Care Managers, Supervisors, and Registered Nurses
Participate in the on-call rota as part of the wider Clinical Team
Deputise for the Director of Nursing when required in governance matters
About You Youre a confident and compassionate Registered Nurse (Adult) with a strong background in community or complex care. You thrive on ensuring high standards and empowering others through leadership and training.
Youll bring:
NMC Registration (Adult)
Significant post-registration experience in community or complex care
Proven ability to lead clinical training and supervision
Strong understanding of CQC, NMC, NICE, and Safeguarding frameworks
Excellent communication, mentorship, and organisational skills
A full UK driving licence and confidence travelling to client homes
A proactive, accountable, and team-focused approach
