Electrical Day Engineer Location: Workington Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Our client, a global leader in manufacturing, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their engineering team on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day engineering operations at the Cumbria site. Working as part of a proactive maintenance team, the role focuses on minimising downtime and enhancing overall productivity. While many tasks will be team-based, there will also be occasions where independent work is required. We are looking for a self-motivated and driven individual with a positive approach to problem-solving. A willingness to learn and adapt to a wide range of equipment is essential. Responsibilities: Onsite maintenance and engineering support for site assets to ensure OEE is maximised Working on planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules Assisting shift engineers on reactive maintenance Completing planned maintenance tasks designated by Engineering Team Leader Prioritising workload. Working in a positive manner and is open to a new tasks and challenges Fully utilise Stock control systems including input, management and improvement activities associated within. Training and development of co-workers as required i.e. apprentices and other maintenance department staff.
