Job Overview
We are seeking a CNC machine Programmer/Operator with at least 3 years experience to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machinery to produce high-quality custom ball screw components used across industry - aerospace, oil & gas, medical, defence, automotive. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with various steels. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, be able to work on individual projects and within a team environment and be proficient in programming a CNC machine.
Responsibilities
* Develop and optimise CNC programmes for milling machines and other CNC equipment
* Set up and operate CNC machinery, ensuring precision and quality of finished products
* Conduct regular maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance
* Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Utilise hand tools and materials handling techniques to assist in the production process
* Perform quality checks on completed components using basic math skills for measurements
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
Skills
* Experience with CNC controls (FANUC / SIEMENS)
* Experience using and understanding G-code
* Familiarity with milling machine operation and tooling requirements
* Excellent mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools
* Ability to perform assembly tasks with attention to detail
* Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations
