Clinical Fellow/Trust Grade Doctor – Paediatric Radiology
We are inviting applications to fill a Clinical Fellow/Trust Grade Doctor vacancy at The Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in the Department of Paediatric Radiology. The post will commence September 2026 and is a fixed‑term contract for 12 months. Candidates must be fully registered with the General Medical Council and hold a licence to practice by the intended start date.
Main Duties
Leeds Children’s Hospital provides a wide range of specialist paediatric care, supported by the following facilities:
* 4 dedicated paediatric ultrasound rooms and 2 mobile ultrasound machines
* 2 radiographic rooms, a fluoroscopy suite, and nuclear medicine facilities
* Shared use of 1.5 and 3.0 Tesla MRI scanners, three multi‑slice CT scanners, and an angiography suite
The role offers exposure to a broad spectrum of paediatric radiology, including sub‑specialities and paediatric intervention. Responsibilities include clinical duties, audit, research, presenting at national and international meetings, and teaching resident doctors as part of the West Yorkshire Radiology Academy.
Job Responsibilities
* Deliver clinical radiology services to paediatric patients.
* Attend mandatory teaching and training sessions.
* Participate in audit and research projects.
* Present findings at national and international meetings.
* Contribute to the teaching of resident doctors.
Work Hours and Schedule
* 33.65 clinical hours per week (8.4 clinical sessions).
* 4 additional hours per week for private study, teaching preparation, audit and research.
* Alternate‑week evening general acute CT list.
* No further on‑call commitment – total weekly commitment 40 hours.
Qualifications
* Full registration with the General Medical Council.
* Medical degree and postgraduate training in radiology.
* Experience in paediatric radiology is desirable but not mandatory.

* Prior experience in paediatric radiology or sub‑specialty training.
* Involvement in research and audit activities.
