We are looking for an EC&I Engineering Manager to work on a long term contract in Chorley/Hybrid. The role is working Monday to Thursday (2 days' in the office, 2 days' from home). Rate is c£65-70 Ltd per hour Outside IR35 (or Umbrella/PAYE equivalent) Duties for the EC&I Engineering Manager: As Engineering Manager, you will take ownership of engineering delivery across multiple projects, supporting business growth while ensuring projects are delivered to scope, budget and schedule. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams across the full project lifecycle. Develop engineering delivery strategies, scopes of work and technical solutions for bids and proposals. Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout project execution. Manage engineering budgets, schedules, resources and project risks. Ensure engineering activities are delivered in accordance with quality, safety and compliance requirements. Oversee the production and approval of engineering documentation, calculations, drawings and technical deliverables. Support design assurance, verification and validation activities. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and promote engineering best practice. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders. Support recruitment, mentoring, competency development and performance management of engineering teams. Act as the key engineering contact throughout procurement, manufacture, testing, installation and commissioning activities. Requirements for the EC&I Engineering Manager: Degree qualified in Electrical, Control, Instrumentation, Electronic Engineering or a related engineering discipline. Chartered Engineer, Incorporated Engineer or working towards professional registration. Significant experience leading engineering teams within a regulated engineering environment. Strong background in EC&I design, project delivery and technical governance. Experience managing engineering budgets, schedules, resources and risk. Strong understanding of engineering compliance, safety requirements and industry standards. Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills. Experience delivering projects within sectors such as nuclear, defence, energy, utilities, process, oil & gas or other highly regulated industries would be advantageous.
