Wates Group is seeking an Assistant Land & Planning Manager to join our Developments team in Leatherhead. The role involves supporting the projects team in land allocation and planning consent processes, adding value to the company's land/property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support and implement strategies to safeguard company interests, ensuring deliverability and contractual compliance.
* Conduct financial assessments to evaluate site viability and support business reporting.
* Keep management informed on progress, budgets, and risks.
* Engage with local communities and public engagement initiatives related to land promotion.
* Represent Wates Developments internally and externally in land promotion and planning consent processes.
Candidate Requirements:
* Knowledge of the UK residential planning system.
* Understanding of the residential development market.
* Experience with residential appraisal systems.
* Basic legal contract knowledge.
