Role Overview
Health Care Support Worker to join Mill Lodge, a 14‑bed Specialist Unit caring for patients with Huntington’s disease. The role involves supporting both physical and mental health needs as part of the nursing and multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
* Participate in a 12‑hour shift rota covering day and night across a 7‑day week.
* Support patients with personal care, mobility, and therapeutic activities.
* Assist with medication administration, monitoring and documentation.
* Provide emotional support and liaise with the multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care.
* Engage with patients using trust, respect, integrity and compassion.
Requirements
* Experience working within a healthcare setting.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong problem‑solving and negotiation abilities.
* Willingness to develop leadership qualities.
Working Hours and Conditions
Both part‑time and full‑time posts are available; the minimum commitment is 23 hours per week. This is a permanent post, not a bank role. Successful candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
