We are working closely with a Hawes-based business to recruit an Accountant to their team. You will play a pivotal part in the team and will be part of a truly valued and collaborative business.
The role will include:
1. Management of stock controls and reconciliations
2. Oversight of retail sales in connection with other departments
3. Month-end reporting and reconciliations
4. Supporting the preparation of statutory accounts
5. Support of budget preparation and forecast
6. Management of contracts and leases
7. Management of a small, developing team - target setting and performance review
8. Interviewing and inducting new members of the finance team
9. Course mentor for AAT Apprentice/s
Requirements/Experience:
10. Part or qualified ACCA/CIMA, or with equivalent experience
11. Confident with PC tools, especially advanced Excel and PowerPoint
12. Curious, proactive, and self-motivated: you are at your best in fast-paced environments
13. Meet deadlines and manage your workload effectively
14. A good communicator, both in writing and in person
15. Comfortable working independently and staying motivated without close supervision
16. A team player who’s happy to collaborate and work towards shared goals
