A leading international law firm is looking to recruit a junior solicitor to join its highly regarded Shipping team in London. The practice is recognised for its strength across both wet and dry shipping work, with a reputation for being efficient, commercial, and technically strong.
The Team
The team is led by experienced partners and includes a number of recognised specialists across a broad range of shipping and trade matters, including:
* Sanctions and regulatory issues
* Commercial disputes with an international client base
* Dry shipping and contractual disputes
* Marine casualties and salvage
* Yacht-related disputes
* Cargo claims and marine insurance
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer to gain exposure to high-quality, international shipping litigation work. You will work closely with partners and senior lawyers on a range of matters, including:
* Marine casualty and salvage claims
* Charterparty and bill of lading disputes
* Cargo claims and marine insurance issues
* Sanctions-related shipping matters
* International arbitration (including LMAA)
Clients
The team acts for a first-class international client base, including major shipowners, insurers, and P&I clubs.
Candidate Profile
* NQ–3 PQE (or equivalent) with experience in shipping, maritime, or commercial litigation
* Strong academic background
* Interest in international trade and shipping law
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
* Excellent drafting and analytical skills

Salary
Competitive salary of £60,000–£90,000 depending on experience, plus bonus and benefits.
