Casual Hours Keeping the Council's buildings clean, is a big priority for us. As a Cleaner, you will help us to create a safe and pleasant environment for our staff and other users of the council's facilities. Depending on your primary work location, you will undertake the cleaning of designated areas such as: office and cloakroom areas, other accommodation or wet/dry areas, changing rooms, reception and Café's. You will ensure these are always kept in a clean and hygienic condition, thereby enhancing the overall appearance of the facility. You will be required to use a variety of cleaning equipment and chemicals, as appropriate. Key Responsibilities Vacuum clean/sweep/mop all floor areas as appropriate. Dust and polish all furnishings in designated areas. Clean windows in accordance with the predetermined programme. Clean toilets and washbasins and replenish consumables as required. Assist with cleaning with Fitness Suites / studios. Cleaning/Dusting of soft play (site dependent). Emptying litter and recycling bins. You Will Need: An understanding of the rudiments of office cleaning/ centre cleaning. High standards of cleanliness with a thorough approach e.g. COSHH and manual handling. The ability to prioritise and organise daily duties. Good communication and customer service skills, when interacting with colleagues and members of the public. The ability to work as part of a team.
