About the role
We are seeking a commercially focused Group Digital Marketing Manager to drive digital performance and eCommerce growth across a portfolio of scented candle and ecclesiastical brands, including Charles Farris and Rathbornes 1488.
The role will focus on optimising website performance, customer journeys, and digital marketing activity to increase online revenue. You will analyse user behaviour and site performance to identify opportunities to improve user experience, conversion, and overall digital effectiveness.
Working with agency partners and the wider marketing team, you will oversee paid media activity across Meta and Google, support social media across the brands, and collaborate on CRM initiatives including weekly email campaigns. This role will play a key part in delivering a consistent, commercially focused digital strategy across the group.
Key Responsibilities
eCommerce Performance, Website Management & Optimisation
* Take ownership of eCommerce performance across all brand websites, with a focus on improving conversion rates, user experience, and revenue growth.
* Analyse customer journeys, user behaviour, and site performance to identify opportunities for optimisation.
* Implement data-led improvements to enhance navigation, merchandising, landing pages, and on-site conversion.
* Work with developers or external agencies to deliver website updates, new functionality, and ongoing optimisation.
* Ensure websites deliver a high-quality experience across desktop and mobile, following best practices for usability, speed, and performance.
* Monitor key eCommerce KPIs including conversion rate, average order value, customer acquisition cost, and overall revenue performance.
* Digital Strategy & Brand Management
* Manage digital marketing activity across a portfolio of candle brands.
* Develop and implement digital strategies that support both eCommerce growth and brand development.
* Ensure a consistent approach to digital performance, optimisation, and reporting across the group.
* Identify opportunities to scale successful initiatives and share insights across brands.
Paid Media Management
* Plan, execute, and optimise paid media campaigns across Meta and Google advertising platforms.
* Manage advertising budgets across multiple brands to maximise return on investment.
* Test audiences, creative, messaging, and landing pages to improve campaign performance.
* Work closely with website optimisation efforts to ensure paid traffic converts effectively.
CRM & Email Marketing
* Manage CRM activity in collaboration with the wider marketing team to support customer retention and lifetime value.
* Plan and coordinate weekly email campaigns across each brand, ensuring alignment with marketing and commercial priorities.
* Segment customer audiences and analyse campaign performance to improve engagement and conversions.
* Support the development of automated email flows and lifecycle marketing initiatives.
Social Media Management
· Manage and schedule social media activity across the group’s brands.
· Ensure social channels remain active, on-brand, and aligned with wider marketing campaigns.
· Monitor engagement and performance to identify opportunities for growth.
Key Skills & Experience
Essential
· 4+ years’ experience in digital marketing or eCommerce roles.
· Experience managing and optimising eCommerce websites to improve conversion and performance.
· Strong analytical skills with experience using digital reporting and analytics tools.
· Experience overseeing paid media campaigns across Meta and Google.
· Experience supporting CRM and email marketing activity.
· Good understanding of customer journeys, UX, and digital optimisation.
Desirable
· Experience working with consumer or lifestyle brands.
· Knowledge of SEO and conversion rate optimisation (CRO).
· Experience with platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Business Manager, Google Ads, and eCommerce platforms such as Shopify.
· Familiarity with CRM and email platforms such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or HubSpot.
