Job Description
Transport Support Operator will provide general administration support to the Transport Department.
Salary: £30,557.00 per annum.
Shift: 4 on 4 off nights, 19.00-07.00
Key Duties of a Transport Support Operator:
* Correctly debriefing drivers.
* Checking all timesheets for correct completion and ensuring all PODs are returned completed correctly.
* Scanning and storing PODs using Culina’s document management system.
* Preparing drivers’ wallets and issuing delivery notes in drop sequence plus any other relevant delivery information.
* Printing all despatch notes and replenishing despatch paper as required.
* Answering the telephone and assisting with any enquiries.
* Downloading drivers’ cards / tachographs.
* Ensuring all estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) are communicated to Customer Services.
* Consistently updating all spreadsheets including, but not limited to; change-overs, run summaries and trailer check sheets.
* Departing loads using Transport Management System (TMS).
* Ensuring all uplifts are despatched in correct loads.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Attention to detail/ accuracy.
* Excellent communication skills in order to deliver accurate information.
* Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure.
* Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.
* Computer literate, particularly MS Office applications i.e. PowerPoint, Word, Excel or equivalent.
* Able to work as part of a team or individually.
* Able to work effectively and communicate to the correct level.
