Here at GXO Logistics, we're looking for a Transport & Warehouse Operations Manager to join our B&Q operation in Cambuslang. In this hands‑on leadership role, you'll lead the day‑to‑day transport and warehouse operation, ensuring contractual performance, customer satisfaction, compliance standards and operational KPIs are consistently delivered.
This is a full-time, permanent position working on an 'any 5 from 7' shift pattern. You will predominantly work Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00. However flexibility is essential, this is logistics after all

You'll be paid a salary of up to £52,000 per annum, depending upon experience. What you'll do on a typical day:
1. Lead the delivery of all transport and warehouse operations for the Cambuslang B&Q Distribution Centre, ensuring contractual KPIs, service levels and customer requirements are consistently achieved
2. Manage daily activities across transport and warehouse teams, supporting Shift Managers and driving performance
3. Oversee all aspects of operational planning, resource levels, agency usage and cost control
4. Produce, analyse and present operational reports, identifying insights and actions
5. Build strong relationships with the customer and GXO senior stakeholders, ensuring outstanding service delivery
6. Ensure legal compliance across transport operations, including fleet, safety and statutory processes
7. Drive continuous improvement and change initiatives across the site
8. Resolve customer service issues, manage discrepancies and drive service excellence
9. Maintain a safe, compliant and high‑performance environment in line with QHSE, HR and company policies
What you need to succeed at GXO:
10. Proven experience managing teams in a busy transport and warehouse environment, with strong knowledge of transport operations and compliance
11. International CPC
12. Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills with a strong track record of influencing at all levels and delivering results
13. Understanding of operational cost drivers, P&L management and KPI frameworks
14. Experience in continuous improvement, employee engagement and change management
