Role Description
As Duty Manager, you’ll be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of the club while delivering an outstanding member experience:
* Leading and motivating team members to deliver exceptional service
* Acting as the main point of contact for members, ensuring every visit exceeds expectations
* Overseeing daily operations, ensuring facilities are safe, clean, and fully operational
* Organising staffing levels and ensuring all departments are supported
* Handling member feedback and resolving issues professionally and positively
* Supporting events, classes, and activities across the club
* Driving a fun, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere for members and guests
* Taking ownership of health & safety, acting as a first responder when required
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is:
* A natural leader with strong people management skills
* Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service
* Experienced in leisure, health & fitness, or a similar environment
* Confident in handling challenges and turning them into positive outcomes
* Highly organised, proactive, and adaptable
* Approachable, enthusiastic, and genuinely enjoys working with people
Essential / Preferred Experience:
* Previous Duty Management experience (preferred)
* First Aid at Work qualification (required)Pool Emergency Responder (PER) qualification (or willingness to gain within 3 months)
