Job Summary
Location: Stockton, CA and Woodland, CA
This position supports the implementation and oversight of environmental, safety, and health programs at the facility. Experience in industrial safety, training, field/site safety auditing, safety/industrial hygiene project management, and hazard identification and control is required. The role involves working at two power plant locations, sharing work hours between Stockton, CA, and Woodland, CA.
Key Accountabilities
* Communicate, administer, and maintain safety & industrial hygiene programs, policies, and procedures.
* Continuously improve existing programs based on feedback.
* Develop and deliver safety and environmental reports, training, and presentations.
* Coordinate with corporate EH&S professionals for consistency.
* Conduct and follow up on safety and environmental assessments.
* Ensure compliance with regulations at project sites.
* Develop and improve safety and environmental programs.
* Provide leadership in proactive safety activities.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or related field.
* At least five years of practical safety experience in heavy industrial or power plant operations.
Other Qualifications
Preferred: CSP or CIH certification, Master's degree.
Other requirements include organizational skills, teamwork, proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge of safety regulations, electrical standards, safety management systems, excellent communication skills, background check clearance, international travel ability, and relationship management skills.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
Requires physical activity such as standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, climbing ladders, working at heights, and wearing protective equipment. Work environment includes office and plant site with exposure to weather, noise, and potentially hazardous materials.
