This role will be within our Transmission & Renewables team. We design, build and commission substations at voltages up to and including 400kV. Are you a seasoned Quantity Surveyor with a passion for large-scale, complex infrastructure projects?Do you have experience managing NEC4 contracts? We are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the Melksham area. You will be required to attend our Substations sites atleast 3 days a week. A driving licence is required. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to take on a key role. You will be instrumental in ensuring the financial success of our contracts, working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to drive value and mitigate risk. What will you be doing? Oversee all commercial aspects of multiple projects from inception to final account. Expertly manage and administer NEC4 Engineering and Construction Contracts (ECC), including Early Warnings, Compensation Events, and payment applications. Implement robust cost control measures, produce accurate CVRs, and provide detailed financial reports and forecasts to senior management. Proactively identify, assess, and manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle. Manage the procurement and commercial administration of subcontractors, ensuring compliance and performance. Meticulously manage all contract variations and compensation events, negotiating and agreeing on fair and reasonable costs. Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients, consultants, and internal project teams. Potentially mentor and guide junior members of the commercial team. What youll bring Substantial experience as a Quantity Surveyor. In-depth, practical knowledge and experience of managing contracts under the NEC 3 or NEC4 suite. Strong commercial acumen and excellent negotiation skills. A proactive, solutions-driven attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Full UK driving licence.
