GSL Education are seeking to appoint an adaptable and confident Cover Supervisor to support schools across Sheffield (S35). This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and eager to contribute to students’ learning and development.
Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining classroom order and delivering pre-prepared lessons during teacher absences. Your presence will ensure that learning continues smoothly and that students stay engaged.
Main Duties of Cover Supervisor:
* Deliver pre-set lessons to a variety of year groups and subjects.
* Maintain discipline and ensure students remain focused.
* Provide guidance where necessary to support student understanding.
* Liaise with teaching staff to feedback on class progress and behaviour.
* Ensure all classroom procedures and safeguarding practices are followed.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people is preferred.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to manage classroom behaviour with confidence and calmness.
* A flexible approach and a positive attitude to supporting learners.
* Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
