My client is looking for a reliable and hardworking Catering Assistant to join a busy office canteen team in the Widnes area.
This role involves supporting daily catering operations including food preparation, serving customers, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
You will help ensure a smooth and efficient service by assisting with various tasks such as cleaning, restocking supplies, and adhering to hygiene and safety standards.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and contributing to a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with food preparation and portioning
Serve food and beverages to staff and visitors
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining areas, and equipment
Wash up and clear away dishes and utensils
Restock supplies and ensure food storage areas are tidy
Follow health and safety and food hygiene regulations
Support the catering team to deliver excellent service
Skills
Experience in food preparation and serving (desirable)
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
Attention to cleanliness and hygiene standards
Reliability and punctuality
Basic food safety awareness
Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
Physical stamina for standing and manual tasks

Flexibility and willingness to assist with various duties
This is a 2 week position, paying £13.40 per hour PAYE + holiday pay.
Certifications & Standards
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (desirable but not essential)
