Youth Engagement Officer
As a Youth Engagement Officer, you will design and deliver programs that actively involve young people in meaningful activities, enhance their skills, and cultivate a strong sense of community.
About the Initiative
Jobs Growth Wales Plus (JGW+) is a Welsh Government initiative that provides work experience and training opportunities to young people and unemployed individuals, enhancing their employability and supporting job creation in various sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify, engage and recruit new learners to the Itec Jobs Growth Wales Plus programme.
* Use sales, business development, and marketing techniques to attract new learners.
* Establish new business partnerships and maximise existing relationships for learner opportunities.
* Actively sell and endorse Itec training products and services to attract learners.
* Drive new learner generation through calls, networking, digital activities, and community outreach.
* Build effective relationships with schools and community‑based venues to attract learners.
* Build strategic relationships with Centre Leads and Learner Coaches to ensure seamless learner transitions.
Required Experience and Qualities
* Experience working with young people or a passion for making a difference.
* Strong and relevant knowledge of local networks.
* Willingness to undergo a DBS check (cost covered by the company) and EWC registration.
* Full driving licence with use of own vehicle.
Desirable
* Experience within Post 16 Education or youth-based organisations.
* Disability Confident.
