Overview
Anduril's global communications team is responsible for shaping how the world understands modern defense technology—and why it matters. We are seeking a Director of Communications, UK & Europe, to lead Anduril's external communications strategy across UK and European markets. You will build and execute a regional communications program that advances Anduril's brand, narrative, and presence across two very different but interconnected markets: a mature, fast-growing UK business and a newly expanding European footprint. You will serve as the lead storyteller and strategist for how Anduril shows up across media, analysts, and the broader ecosystem of thinkers, technologists, and institutions shaping Europe’s defense future. The ideal candidate is equal parts strategist and operator, someone who thrives in market entry environments, is comfortable navigating geopolitical complexity, and can balance long-term narrative shaping with near-term execution.
Responsibilities
* Build and lead Anduril's communications strategy for the UK and Europe, tailored to each region's market maturity, industrial priorities, and public discourse on defense and technology.
* Drive strategic media relations across defense, technology, business, and policy outlets to advance awareness and understanding of Anduril's products, mission, and partnerships.
* Shape Anduril's external narrative across key European markets through storytelling, commentary, and thought leadership that reflect the region's unique geopolitical context and industrial ambitions.
* Manage and expand relationships with journalists, analysts, and think tanks across the defense and technology sectors.
* Oversee Anduril's UK communications agency and stand up agency or contractor support for new European markets as the business grows.
* Collaborate closely with Anduril's UK and European General Managers, supporting local market entry campaigns, product launches, partnerships, and events.
* Partner with global communications, marketing, and policy teams to ensure alignment of messaging and brand across regions.
* Identify moments and opportunities to shape discourse around defense innovation, sovereignty, industrial resilience, and allied cooperation, connecting Anduril's mission to broader European priorities.
* Develop and own metrics and success frameworks for measuring progress and impact in each market.
Qualifications
* 8–10 years of experience in communications, public affairs, or media relations roles, ideally spanning technology, defense, or national security sectors.
* Deep understanding of the UK and European media and political landscapes, and how the conversation around defense, security, and technology is evolving.
* Proven ability to build and execute communications programs across multiple countries and audiences.
* Experience overseeing PR agencies, contractors, or networks of regional partners.
* Exceptional writing, strategic thinking, and storytelling skills—able to translate complex ideas into compelling narratives that resonate with both expert and general audiences.
* Comfortable working across cultures, time zones, and functions in a fast-paced environment.
* High judgment, discretion, and the ability to operate autonomously in a dynamic, growing company.

* The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
