We are working with a prestigious international law firm to hire a Compliance Manager in Manchester. In this role, you’ll co-lead a team of analysts, overseeing new business checks, advising lawyers on compliance and risk, and driving improvements in the firm’s business acceptance procedures and systems. The firm is looking for a compliance professional with significant experience in a legal or professional services environment, and a strong understanding of conflicts, financial crime, and regulatory risk. You should bring proven leadership experience, ideally having managed analyst teams, training programmes, and service delivery in a global setting. The responsibilities will include: Co-managing the central compliance team Providing technical and personal development support to analysts Overseeing quality assurance and workflow management across global teams to resolve complex legal, commercial and risk-related issues Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders Advising key stakeholders on regulatory and reputational risks, with consideration of regulations and internal policies Designing and delivering an ongoing programme of training for both analysts and legal/business teams across the firm Contributing to the continuous improvement of policies, procedures and systems to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies Promoting a mindset of innovation and continuous improvement within the team and the wider firm They are looking for candidates with excellent communication, high attention to detail, and the ability to lead and influence in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
