Permanent Field Sales Representative Cycling Specialist required for Lisburn. Location: Lisburn (field-based throughout the island of Ireland) Industry: Specialist Cycling, Physiotherapy & Mobility Equipment About the Company My client is a sixth-generation, Lisburn-based family business supplying a comprehensive range of all-ability cycles, physiotherapy, rehabilitation and mobility equipment. They work closely with disabled customers and healthcare professionalsincluding Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapistsacross the NHS, HSE, charities, the education sector, Access to Work, the Motability Scheme and the wider disabled community throughout Ireland. The Field-Based Cycling Sales Specialist will deliver product demonstrations, assessments, handovers and reviews for a portfolio of specialist equipment. Duties will include: Sales & Customer Support Field-based sales for a diverse range of special needs trikes and bikes (including side-by-side tandems and wheelchair rickshaws), physiotherapy/rehabilitation equipment, and other high-value mobility products. Demonstrating and advising customers across Ireland on the full product range, including assistance with product assessments, set-ups and reviews. Creating new customers through planned sales visits and maintaining regular contact with existing customers. Delivering the highest standard of service to build and maintain excellent customer relationships. Planning and monitoring sales activities to meet overall territory and individual product targets. Maintaining an accurate sales contact database, following up on visits and generating new business opportunities. Technical Responsibilities Conducting fault-finding, diagnosis and repairs for products within your portfolio. Delivering, collecting and handing over equipment as required. Ensuring all equipment is clearly labelled and that all relevant paperwork is completed accurately. Using a company commercial vehicle to bring demonstration equipment to customers. Ensuring all products are prescribed accurately to meet individual client needs (many items are built to order). Organisation & Communication Managing your diary efficiently to maximise time spent with customers and to ensure availability for appointments. Arranging and delivering Lunch and Learn product awareness training. Reporting issues, adverse events and product feedback to your line manager. Treating all customers with patience and respect, recognising that many will have disabilities or learning difficulties and require clear, supportive communication. Developing strong working relationships with colleagues. Other Requirements Overnight travel will be required, with increasing frequency as the territory grows. Adherence to all Health & Safety policies and procedures. Careful treatment of company vehicles and equipment. Attendance at ongoing training to develop product knowledge and skills. Portfolio Your initial portfolio will include: All-ability cycling brands: Tomcat, Van Raam, ICE Trikes, TopEnd Physiotherapy equipment: Standers, specialist walkers, gym rehab equipment, sleep systems Mobility range: Manual and electric wheelchairs, power-add-ons and special-needs buggies Area of Business Strong B2B relationships already exist with public-sector clients and local charities. There is significant opportunity to expand market share, particularly in the area of special-needs buggies. Essential Criteria Minimum 3 A-Levels or equivalent. Full, clean driving licence (age 21). Ability to pass a Basic Disclosure background check (due to work with vulnerable children and adults). Minimum 3 years previous sales experience. Level 2 Cycle Mechanics certification and high competency with specialist tools, fault-finding and troubleshooting. Proficiency in bicycle repairs and tuning, gained through industry experience or strong cycling enthusiasm. IT literacy in MS Office. Ability to be physically and mentally capable of duties, including: Managing unpredictable clients (potential verbal or physical aggression). Crouching, bending, kneeling and holding awkward positions for extended periods. Loading/unloading equipment from the van, often without assistance. Occasional exposure to bodily fluids or contaminated equipment. Working in domestic environments with poor lighting or smoky conditions. Understands the pressures faced by therapy professionals. Planning & Organisation Excellent time management, organisation and administrative skills. Ability to work under pressure and plan workload to achieve targets. Attention to Detail Highly accurate when measuring clients and completing manufacturer order forms. Strong attention to detail in all aspects of prescribing and documentation. Engineering & Technical Ability Highly competent with workshop tools and mechanical tasks. Teamwork Builds effective working relationships to achieve shared goals. Initiative & Independence Takes responsibility for achieving objectives. Proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently. Personal Responsibility Demonstrates integrity, enthusiasm and a strong can-do, problem-solving attitude. Location The ideal candidate will live in Northern Ireland and be based out of the Lisburn head office, with full access to the company's extensive demonstration equipment. Overnight travel will be required.
