Site Supervisor – Air Handling Units
Location: Salford with national travel
Rate: £15.50 per hour + overtime (1.5x rate)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (08:00–16:30, Mon–Fri, 50-min break)
We’re looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to join the team in Salford, supervising the assembly and refurbishment of Air Handling Units (AHUs) and associated equipment on projects across the UK. This role involves site-based supervision, national travel, and occasional overnight stays – so a valid UK driving licence is essential.
About the Role
As Site Supervisor, you’ll be the main point of contact on site, responsible for supervising a small assembly team, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You’ll also liaise directly with clients, report progress to the office, and help solve problems on site.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supervising and organising site assembly teams
* Planning labour, materials, and equipment before site attendance
* Leading AHU assembly/refurbishment and flatpack builds
* Acting as the main site contact, liaising with customers and providing updates
* Conducting site surveys where required
* Checking drawings, parts, and requirements prior to site work
* Ensuring RAMS are followed and updated, keeping work safe and compliant
* Producing site reports with photos and ensuring customer sign-off
* Training and mentoring new starters with structured improvement plans
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience in site supervision (engineering/construction environment ideal)
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Good communication skills, confident liaising with customers and internal teams
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Driving licence (essential, due to national travel and overnight stays)
* A proactive, hands-on approach – willing to support fitting work when required
