Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and organised Operations Officer to provide essential operational support to trainees from onboarding through graduation. You will work closely with Training Managers and the Directors to optimise course capacities and training programmes, and ensure effective utilisation of aircraft, simulators, and classroom resources while maintaining an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities
* Comply with Company procedures, especially regarding safety and compliance.
* Contribute to safety and compliance monitoring and raise issues to the flight safety/management team.
* Produce and share pertinent information to flight crews and use air/ground radio to pass/receive information.
* Oversee and monitor flight operations including real time aircraft tracking and liaising with Air Traffic Control Units with flight critical information and booking of training slots.
* Manually handle aircraft when required to reposition to/from the hangar.
* Support the trainees with their requirements for their flights.
* Provide support to the training management team.
* Support the Flight Logger system and monitor expiry dates and correct data entry.
* Support the administration process for Ground school, Flight school and MCC APS training.
* Assist with preparation and publication of trainee reports and exam results.
* Provide required documentation to trainees for processing licence applications.
* Create and monitor the daily, weekly, monthly schedule for aircraft, classrooms and simulators.
* Update tracking tools to monitor student progress and aircraft/simulator utilisation.
* Maintain tech log.
Qualifications
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, to motivate and encourage staff and deal effectively with internal and external contacts from executive to administrative levels.
* Ability to concentrate and work in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure.
* Flexible and adaptable and able to accept changes and adjust accordingly.
* Previous experience of working and fostering professional relationships.
* Previous experience in an operations environment would be beneficial.
* A keen interest in Aviation would be desirable.
Additional Information
Salary £30,000 per annum
* Shift pattern will be 4 days on, 4 days off and made up of 12-hour shifts, usually 07:00-19:00.
* You will be working as part of a 7 day operation and therefore availability to weekend and bank holidays is required.
