Job Description
Triple West Medical have been appointed by an NHS Trust based in the Essex region to help recruit an experienced Locum Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology for a Fixed Term Contract for 12 Months min.
The Trust have over 10,000 staff offering comprehensive range of acute and community services over a number of sites to over 1 million people. You will have excellent clinical skills and the ability to lead on the shop floor. You will be expected to be active in the teaching and supervision of all multi-disciplinary staff.
This is a new post to achieve Ockendon and CQC standards within the unit. There is potential for this post to be made substantive at the end of the fixed term agreement, subject to the usual recruitment processes. The service is currently undergoing changes to the consultant rota to divide the Gynaecology emergency and labour ward on-call duties as per CQC and Ockendon requirements
Brief Duties/Responsibilities:
1. To provide ante-natal clinics
2. To provide general gynaecology service
3. To provide a service for 2ww and gynae-oncology patients
4. The candidate will be expected to cover every other Monday on call for Obstetrics and
5. Gynaecology and also prospective cover
6. The post holder will be expected to be actively involved in the clinical governance
