Our surgeries deliver care to over 17,000 patients across Hull. As part of City Health Care Partnership CIC, we pride ourselves on high-quality, inclusive healthcare and a strong team ethos. We are also a training practice, actively involved in the VEN PCN, and committed to developing the next generation of healthcare professionals. These new posts are part of our process of developing our practices for the challenges of the future NHS.
We deliver over 80 services, including urgent care, community nursing, frailty services, palliative care, pain management, and sexual health services. There may be future opportunities for successful applicants to develop a portfolio career among our many services.
This post is ideal for someone ready to take on clinical leadership within a supportive environment. A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience from the General Practice Vocational Training Scheme is essential. Leadership experience is desirable, or the ability to demonstrate readiness to take on increasing responsibility in a supportive setting.
Main duties of the job
As a Senior Salaried GP, you will:
1. Provide high-quality clinical care, including face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations, triage, and home visits.
2. Support safe and effective management of clinical correspondence, pathology, prescriptions, and patient queries.
3. Take clinical leadership for a specific portfolio of interest across our CHPL practices. This may include managing complex patients, education and training, or other areas aligned with your skills and ambitions, as agreed with the Clinical Lead for Primary Care Services.
4. Help shape service development and support the delivery of care for long-term conditions such as diabetes, respiratory, or cardiovascular disease.
5. Contribute to mentoring, supervision, and supporting junior staff and allied healthcare professionals.
