Job Description:
The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences is seeking to appoint a part-time Lecturer in Forensic Psychology to join the team of academic staff in the School of Psychology and Social Sciences. You will be a Forensic Psychologist registered with the Health & Care Professions Council and able to teach practitioner skills for our MSc Forensic Psychology programme accredited by the British Psychological Society.
You will join an ambitious school with an active research portfolio, including a Centre for Research into Forensic and Investigative Psychology and the Criminal Justice Research Network. The School has research groups in Childhood and Youth Psychology, Healthy Lives, Brain and Cognition, and Social and Organisational Psychology.
The School features specialist laboratories such as observation labs with cameras and mirrors, EEG and neuro-stimulation facilities, a Virtual Reality lab, and an alcohol research lab, along with standard experimental laboratories for psychological research.
The MSc Forensic Psychology programme is primarily taught on Wednesdays, with the postholder expected to be on campus that day. Flexibility in scheduling may be possible if all other criteria are met.
