Role Overview
Adept Resourcing are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well established precision engineering company, for an experienced CNC Machinist to join their night shift team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machines equipped with Heidenhain controls, producing high-quality precision components from fabrications, castings, and forgings.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist seeking stability, a great hourly rate, and plenty of overtime within a supportive and growing company.
Key Responsibilities
Program, set, and operate CNC machines fitted with Heidenhain controllers.
Produce precision components in line with detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
Machine fabrications, castings, and forgings to tight tolerances and high standards.
Carry out in-process inspections to ensure consistent accuracy and quality.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production goals and maintain workflow efficiency.
Requirements
Proven experience as a CNC Machinist/Programmer, ideally within precision or heavy engineering.
Strong experience with Heidenhain/Siemens/Fagor control systems (essential).
Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and tolerances.
Confident programming directly on the machine.
Experience machining a variety of materials including fabrications, castings, and forgings.
Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently on the night shift.
Benefits
Competitive pay rate of between £20 - £23 per hour.
Overtime available at time and a half.
Four-day working week (Monday-Thursday).
