Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic and highly motivated pharmacy assistant to gain oncology experience at the Maidstone site with the option of working across the Trust. The role involves dispensing oncology medications, participating in clinical trials and managing stock, supporting a rapidly expanding cancer service.
Responsibilities
* Use the departmental electronic prescribing system (ARIA) and JAC dispensing program to dispense outpatient and supportive medications, including oral systemic anti‑cancer therapies (SACTs), High Cost Drugs and Immunoglobulin therapy.
* Participate in the dispensing of novel clinical trial medication and complete relevant accountability documentation.
* Maintain stock, including ordering patient‑specific High Cost Drugs to ensure timely delivery of medication.
* Complete the corporate trust induction upon agreeing on a start date.
Qualifications
* Experience as a community‑based pharmacy assistant with a desire to move into a hospital environment.
* Prior hospital pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential.
* Openness to further training, including PTPT qualification.
* Ability to work proactively within a high‑profile cancer centre and collaborate across sites.
