International logistics & trade compliance specialist

Job Description

We’re looking for an International Shipping & Customs Specialist to take full ownership of global outbound logistics and trade compliance for a growing, international operation. This is a hands-on, end-to-end role where you’ll shape carrier strategy, ensure customs compliance, and continuously improve cost, service, and delivery performance.


What we’re looking for

* 5+ years’ experience in international shipping/logistics with hands-on trade compliance ownership
* Strong expertise in HS codes, Incoterms® 2020, duty/VAT frameworks, IOSS and customs procedures
* Proven experience running carrier RFPs and negotiations, delivering tangible cost savings
* Excellent documentation knowledge across export/import and regulatory requirements
* Confident using TMS, shipping platforms and ecommerce/WMS systems (e.g. ShipStation, Shopify, Linnworks, Metapack or similar)
* Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills for reporting and analysis
* Calm, collaborative communicator who works well with operations, customer service and external partners
* Nice to have: CILT / IoE&IT, IATA/FIATA or customs compliance certifications; experience with UK CDS and ICS2
