Position Overview: We are currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our team in London. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive occupational therapy services to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting assessments to evaluate clients’ functional abilities and needs.
* Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to address clients’ goals and objectives.
* Providing therapeutic interventions to enhance clients’ independence and engagement in meaningful activities.
* Collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated care delivery.
* Monitoring clients’ progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
* Providing education and support to clients and their families/caregivers.
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
* Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* Minimum of two years of post-qualification experience in mental health settings.
* Strong assessment and therapeutic intervention skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
* Commitment to delivering person-centered care and promoting recovery-oriented practices.
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of clients and the organization.
