Salary £27,904 - £29,020 pro rata
Annualised hours of 16.11 hrs per week, weekends- 17 hours per week in the summer and 15 hours per week in the winter. Start time 8:30am summer finish time 17:30 winter 16:30pm. Optional bank holiday cover. JOB SHARE CONSIDERED
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Kent Country Parks as a Visitor Services Duty Manager.
You will provide an enjoyable experience for all visitors to the park, ensuring the smooth running of all visitor services functions. The duty manager ensures that excellent standards of customer service are maintained and responses to issues or problems are provided in a calm and professional manner.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Duty manage the site-based visitor services, catering and warden teams as needed ensuring that customer service is consistently excellent, and that visitor services delivery is effective and meets customer expectations.
2. Support the delivery of an annual events programme ensuring excellent customer experience.
3. Provide a first class, professional venue hire, birthday party and team building service for all customers ensuring that their needs are understood and delivered on the day and that all booking and delivery processes are consistently met and agreed.
4. Manage the site gift shop in line with the Country Parks' retail policy. Manage stock levels and deliveries.
5. Supervise the Visitor Service & Events Assistant, ensuring efficiency and excellent customer service. Some cover on the front desk for staff breaks will be required. When needed, the duty manager will be a presence at the front desk and in case of staff absence will be required to cover the duties of the visitor services assistant.
6. Be responsible for the accurate accounting of all income generated on site, including its banking and ensure that all financial controls are adhered to including those for payments for invoices, purchase card transactions, management of stock and where applicable petty cash.
Essential Requirement:
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
