The Role
To provide effective support to the Project Manager, ensuring adherence to Company and legislative procedures and maintaining strong working relationships with all stakeholders (internal and external).
You will develop your skills towards managing parts of projects with limited complexity, focusing on safety, quality, and timely delivery. Your tasks will include completing core services such as planning, reviewing plans and drawings, and executing routine engineering tasks.
Accountabilities
* Work closely with the Project Manager to plan and deliver project tasks according to schedule.
* Review plans and drawings under guidance.
* Complete routine engineering tasks including take-offs for material and equipment ordering.
* Draft and revise Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS), Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Work Pack Plans (WPPs), Task Briefs, and Material Approval Requests (MARs).
* Assist in setting out work and planning daily operations with site representatives and Project Manager.
* Maintain detailed site records such as site diaries, photo logs, plant & labour returns, as-built drawings, production schedules, and quality documents.
* Track and analyze changes to update the contract programme weekly.
* Identify issues or changes to the Scope of Work and escalate as necessary.
* Support project QSE documentation and project close-out activities.
* Conduct weekly site safety inspections and promote safety culture.
* Coordinate site inductions and safety medicals where appropriate.
Requirements:
* A degree in civil engineering or equivalent in a relevant construction discipline.
* Practical onsite operations experience, ideally in structural repairs and strengthening (desirable).
* Mobility to work on various civil engineering projects in the London (South East) region.
