Arthur is delighted to be supporting a speciality insurance firm who are looking Pricing Actuary to lead the development and implementation of pricing tools and methodologies within the London Market portfolio.
This role combines technical pricing expertise with software-led thinking, bridging the gap between actuarial methods and platform solutions to support sustainable pricing infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the design and delivery of new pricing tools for both local and global requirements.
• Lead the re-platforming of existing models and migration of data to support pricing transformation.
• Ensure all developments are aligned with actuarial standards and company documentation protocols.
• Manage pricing reviews and ensure the production of compliant technical documentation.
• Collaborate closely with the Pricing Development and UK Pricing Delivery teams to ensure smooth handover from build to delivery.
• Act as the senior actuarial voice in cross-functional development projects, supporting innovation and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
• Qualified or part-qualified actuary (or equivalent experience) with at least 3 years’ experience in general insurance pricing.
• Expertise in London Market pricing, ideally within speciality lines.
• Strong technical skills, including Excel, VBA, SQL, and GLM software; Python or PowerBI is advantageous.
• Proven experience in building production-ready models and re-platforming tools.
