We are looking for a Pharmacy Technician Coordinator who can “think outside the box” and who has the drive and ambition to “make a difference to patient care”.
To assist in the coordination, provision and development of the pharmacy service in relation to technical services to Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SPT).
To supervise rotational technicians, student technicians and pharmacy assistant whilst working within dispensary.
To ensure that the service provided is safe, efficient and effective. 
To assist in the organisation, development of and to participate in, the provision of training/education with the staff to identify service users and carers who would benefit from these interventions. 
To act as a role model for provision of pharmacy services to other pharmacy technicians and assistants within the team.
This is a 12 month secondment based at Worthing Hospital
Main duties of the job
To provide a comprehensive pharmacy service to the patients of University Hospitals Sussex and Sussex Partnership NHS Trust (SPT)
To work as part of the pharmacy team, providing designated time to perform final accuracy checks on prescriptions within the main pharmacy department.
Assisting with the planning, developing and participation with SPT initiatives and monthly error reporting and investigating.
To develop and participate in audits and surveys to measure the quality and effectiveness of the pharmacy services provided to SPT.
To provide pharmaceutical support to all mental health units/ wards regarding routine Medicines Information queries
